Does Your Squarespace Website Really Need a Rebuild?

Does Your Squarespace Website Really Need a Rebuild

One of the most common things I hear from clients is that their website needs a full rebuild. Often, it does not.

If your site is built on Squarespace 7.1, there is a very good chance it can be refreshed rather than rebuilt. In many cases, the structure, templates, and design foundations are already solid. What is usually missing is clarity, flow, and up to date content.

As a New Zealand website designer, I have seen this with a number of clients, including Frame Group, Harvey Woodcraft, and Ground Up Homes.

In each case, the website itself was not broken. It just needed thoughtful tweaks. Small design refinements. Clearer page structure. Updated imagery. And most importantly, content that reflected where the business was now, not where it was a few years ago.

A full website rebuild can be expensive, time consuming, and unnecessary if the bones are already good. A website refresh allows you to keep what works, improve what does not, and get your Squarespace website performing properly again without starting from scratch.

Often, a simple chat over a coffee or on the phone, combined with giving me access to the back end of your website, is all it takes to answer the question. I can quickly assess whether your site needs a full rebuild or whether a strategic refresh will do the job.

As a small business owner myself, I understand the need to be careful with budgets. I will always help you choose the most cost effective website design option for your business, not the biggest or most complicated one.

If you are a New Zealand business wondering whether your Squarespace website needs a rebuild or a refresh, get in touch. A quick conversation can save you time, money, and a lot of unnecessary work.

Lots of love, Jodi
